Reginald the Regent Honeyeater with his distinctive black, yellow and white colouring,  features the striking artwork of Melbourne based artist Lucinda Brash, using acrylic and water-colour.

Previously found widely across south eastern mainland Australia, it is now spotted in  Victoria and New South Wales, and is well known on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range.

The Regent Honeyeater has been badly affected by land-clearing, with the clearance of the most fertile stands of nectar-producing trees and the poor health of many remnants, as well as competition for nectar from other honeyeaters, being the key challenges. It is now listed as an endangered species.

Saddened by Australia's devastating bushfires and heartened by people, communities pulling together, Lucinda's collection of art features animals and birds who have been directly impacted and who's homes have been destroyed in many regions.  We're donating a percentage of our sales to wildlife protection programs.

Printed onto durable 100% organic cotton, our cushions measure 41cm x 41cm with a zip for easy inserting and removal of the insert (the cushion insert is not included).  The backing is made from sustainable and organic fibres comprising hemp 55% and organic cotton 45%.  Pick and choose your backing colour from light-toned neutral, a mid-toned cobblestone or a deeper charcoal, all of which highlight Reginald's striking colourings and sure to complement your special place.

We partner with wonderful Melbourne artisans to create our products.  Printing has been done by the team at Next State who are accredited by the Ethical Council of Australia and use a water based pigment ink that is Oeko-Tex approved.
