The Forty Spotted Pardalote is one of Australia’s rarest birds and by far the rarest pardalote.

Found in isolated colonies in south-eastern Tasmania, most notably on Maria Island and Bruny Island, it is very occasionally spotted in suburbs of Hobart.  The Forty Spotted Pardalote is declining in numbers and is now listed as endangered.

This drawing has been created in pencil by Tasmanian artist Pamela Skromanis and printed on a beautiful cotton/linen blend by the talented team at NextState printers.  Hemming is by social enterprise The Social Studio.
